In pictures: Red carpet rolled out for Wolverhampton dessert shop's anniversary
As they close in on 12 months of unparalleled success, Wolverhampton's Little Dessert shop hosted a red carpet event to launch its THIRD menu.
The shop, which specialises in a variety of desserts, has already won an award for dessert shop of the year and has been shortlisted as part of the annual Express & Star Business Awards.
Its third menu will be based around red velvet, and will see diners able to order such desserts as red velvet cookies, sundaes and milkshakes.
Around 1,000 people are believed to have turned up to the event on Saturday night which included a lady in red and Willy Wonka.
Owner Maz Ali said the night 'went well' and was 'very busy' as he also reflected on an 'overwhelming' first 12 months or so.
He said: "It went well, very busy. Lots of people turned up. We had a red carpet and our lady in which was representing the red velvet collection which is our new range of desserts. We have launched a cookie, a sundae and a milkshake and people on the night were given small sample tasters from the new menu.
"We took just under 500 transactions on the night so we probably had just under 1,000 people through the doors. It was a continuous flow of people with the queue going furhter than it normally does. They were queuing past Cobra and Cash Generator.
"This is our third menu in nearly 12 months. We have been overwhelmed with how it has all gone since we opened. We are opening a third store in West Bromwich, hopefully in June.
"We are trying to revive some life back in to Wolverhampton. We have given 25 local people jobs and we are helping the economy and helping Wolverhampton."
The new store in West Brom is set to create 40 jobs for the Black Country. The shop has bought a former Pizza Hut outlet at Unit 11, the Farley Centre, on High Street.
The store will be the company's third, after Wolverhampton and Wednesbury.
