Budding stars land dream jobs on CBBC's All Over The Workplace
Two budding young performers from the Black Country are starring in a new CBBC series which sees youngsters take part in their dream jobs.
Harry Egerton, aged 11, and Mia McLauchlan, also 11, both from Halesowen, starred in the show called All Over The Workplace, as aspiring musical-theatre-performers. The show is hosted by Alex Riley who each week takes two young rookies into the workplace where they learn about what goes on
They were sent off to Yorkshire for four days to experience all aspects of a performer's life, before ultimately starring in the show Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at The West Yorkshire Playhouse on their final day.
Harry and Mia both attend the School of Theatre Excellence in Moseley. Harry's mother Julie Egerton said: "I'm really proud of Harry.
"It's really exciting for him and a brilliant opportunity.
"This is what Harry wants to do in the future.
"They both had the time of their lives and are aspiring to be West End stars.
"The pair of them have had an exciting end to 2015 and start to 2016, as they also got to perform in Cinderella in the build up to Christmas, alongside Paul O'Grady and Bradley Walsh."
Both budding performers were among thousands of performers who took part in auditions for the show.
Harry attends Howley Grange Primary School in Halesowen, and Mia McLauchlan attends Mount Pleasant Primary School, in Quarry Bank, Brierley Hill.
The show has already had eight episodes and Harry and Mia will feature in the ninth episode.
It has aired once and the series is due to be rescheduled on television for both April and May.
Among the dreams jobs that have youngsters have already took part in the show is astronauts, footballers, politicians, chefs, authors, game designers, creators, police officers, doctors and comedians.
