The 25-year-old from Lower Gornal releases her single 'YOLO' on May 27, and is excited about what the year holds for her.

She will be performing at the Hare & Hounds pub in Kings Heath on Sunday April 10, and has been busy in the studio finalising her album, working alongside producer Ciaron Bell and Chelcee Grimes, who has worked with the likes of Kylie Minogue and The Saturdays, a group she went on tour with in 2014.

She will be going on to perform in Glasgow, London and Manchester.

The Hare & Hounds has played host to Birmingham legends UB40's first ever gig in 1979, and is considered one of the most influential music venues in the city.

Beth said said she was very excited about the new single YOLO - which stands for you only live one.

She added: "I'm really excited about having the chance to perform locally in such a great venue. I love music and there is nothing better than performing live, this is what I do it all for.

"I hope everyone enjoys the new single, it's really all about living your life to the fullest and making the most of it.

"Musically, I feel like I'm in a really good place. I was very lucky to be signed a few years ago, but now being in my mid-twenties and with everything I've learnt and gone through over the years, I feel I've grown as a musician and a person. I'm never going to take any of this for granted, I'm very fortunate to be in the position I'm in.

"I feel like this is going to be a good year. Hopefully I'll be involved in some festivals this summer and performing as much as I can."

Working in Debenhams at Merry Hill shopping centre back in 2012, she was overheard singing by top music producer John McLaughlin, who has produced hits for Girls Aloud, Busted and Take That. He left Beth stunned when she went on to sign a £250,000 record deal with Purple Circle Records in 2014.

But before all of the glitz and glamour, Beth had been singing in public for many years, performing at The Birmingham Repertory Theatre with Matthew Kelly and George Costigan in Don Quixote when she was just 14.

She also performed in a gospel choir with Katherine Jenkins at The Royal Albert Hall and won first place during a national songwriting competition, judged by Bee Gees Legend Robin Gibb over six years ago.

Last year, she released her debut single 'Joker', featuring Hip Hop heavyweight Lil Wayne, and her career has since gone from strength to strength.

Beth will be performing with her live band on Sunday April 10. Tickets are £4, with doors opening at 6.30pm.
