Famous titles written by Sir Ian Fleming will be put up for auction at Cuttlestones' Specialist Collectors' Sale at Wolverhampton Auction Rooms.

There are a dozen novels in the collection including Goldfinger, Thunderball, The Man with the Golden Gun, Diamonds are Forever and From Russia with Love, which date from 1955 to 1962.

The prized first edition copies are all in good condition – with the total expected value being between £600 and £1000 – and Cuttlestones' books and maps expert Rosie Blackburn is expecting a lot of interest amongst collectors. "First edition books of any kind are, of course, wanted above all others by collectors because of their rarity and originality," she said.

"Among the lots in this sale, nearly every other title come complete with their original dust jacket.

"As a result I anticipate considerable interest from collectors on the day of the sale." The first lot up for auction first will be four first editions with dust jackets including On Her Majesty's Secret Service, You Only Live Twice, The Man with the Golden Gun, and Octopussy and The Living Daylights.

Also will be Colonel Sun and Devil may Care, with the lot expected to fetch between £60 and £100. Two first editions of Thunderball will then go under the hammer, also expected to fetch between £60 and £100, followed by For Your Eyes Only which is predicted to sell for as much as £120.

Goldfinger is expected to go for around £150, and From Russia with Love is predicted to sell between £150 and £200. Diamonds are Forever and Moonraker have a lower value as they do not have a dust jacket, but are still expected to sell for around £80 and £150 respectively.

Cuttlestones Specialist Collectors' Sale will take place at Wolverhampton Auction Rooms, Clarence Street on Friday February 12 from 10am.

Viewing will be held from 10am until 7pm on Thursday February 11, and from 9am onwards on the day of the sale.
