Cradley Heath Amateur Operatic Society is putting on a musical version of Miracle on 34th Street.

The society took the 1994 film featuring Richard Attenborough and added singing and dancing to make it extra special.

It should wow the crowds who flock to watch the show at Brierley Hill Civic Hall this week.

Anne Saunders, who has been a committee member for the society for 40 years, said: "I think it's very colourful and it's going to be superb.

"We think it's the first time anyone in the Black Country has done a musical version.

The show runs from Tuesday to next Saturday. Tickets for the first show on Tuesday and the Saturday matinee performance cost £10 and the other shows all cost £15.

For more information about tickets call 0121 585 7380 or visit the civic hall, located on Bank Street.

The evening performances take place at 7.30pm and the matinee show on Saturday at 2.30pm.
