Stourbridge Folk Festival put back to next May
A music festival which attracts a range of performers has been postponed until next year, organisers confirmed today.
Stourbridge Folk Festival, which brings in hundreds of music fans to the town, was due to take place next month.
Star names including Scott Matthews, Lucy Ward, and stand up comedian Patrick Monahan were set to perform at the arts and music festival.
Organisers today confirmed the event, to be held at Wordsley's Red House Glass Cone, between September 5 and 7, had been postponed.
Officials are yet to reveal the reason behind the postponement but say they are planning for the event to take place next May.
In a statement organisers said: "Our apologises to all concerned but due to circumstances beyond our control the event has been postponed and will be rescheduled in May of next year."
All tickets will be refunded through ticket company Wegottickets.
Patrick Monahan will still be appearing in the town next month as there are plans to move his show to Katie Fitzgeralds pub, in Enville Street, Wollaston.
