King of Soul Billy Ocean wows crowd in Wolverhampton gig
Britain's King of Soul Billy Ocean wowed a sold out audience in Wolverhampton.
The legendary singer played through a 90-minute set of his R&B classics at the Robin 2 club in Bilston, including hit singles Caribbean Queen (No More Love On The Run), When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Get Going and Get Outta My Dreams, Get into My Car.
Rastafarian Ocean, who is 64 and the UK's biggest-selling black male recording artist, also took time out to chat with members of the 700-strong audience.
Venue owner Mike Hamblett hailed Saturday's concert a great success.
"He went down an absolute storm," he said.
"We had loads of people here who had never been to the venue before who had come just to see Billy Ocean, and the reaction was tremendous."
