As they say there's no rest for the wicked as I'm just back from some midweek antics in Zante to tell you about where to head for this bumper bank holiday, writes DJ Stuart Ojelay.
Kicking off with a brand new concept at Nuvo in Birmingham tonight are Live Sessions. With a weekly fusion of grooves, sax and vocals all with the added bonus of 2-for-1 cocktails. Becki De funk and One four join me on the decks alongside the Ben Jammin on sax and Lynsey P on vocals.
Dolce Vita has got a great crew together to host the Rainbow Garden in Digbeth. Expect the very best in House Music from Jon Brady, John Reidy, Smak Pony and Edd Cooke.
Levitate return to Home Nightclub in Kidderminster for some Progressive and trance vibes from Djs Phil Metcalfe and Ste Adams. For some outdoor action check out the Bad Habit terrace party at The Swan in Stourbridge with Dave Ecko and the House Monkeyz.
Moving into Saturday and bringing us a fresh new daytime event is Colore. Taking place at The Bulls Head in Moseley you'll be treated to an eclectic soundtrack from 1pm.
Together People is a party brought to you by the like-minded folk at Uber, Downtownsoul, Days Like This and West Midlands Rave Unit – all set at Spotlight, Digbeth.
The Bell in Stourbridge kick off their Metrosexual bank holiday special complete with a 4am license plus new lighting and décor. DJs include Tom Shorterz and Ill Phill.
Parallel Worlds is something new for you being held at Fixxion Warehouse, Wolverhampton. The concept behind the night is to bring various corners of the electronic/leftfield music world together.
Saturday you can see me heading down to Shoreditch in London for Hed Kandi at Mcqueen.
Onto one of the biggest nights of the clubbing calendar on Bank Holiday Sunday. If you're looking to head out early then Below will supply you in the very best in underground house music at The Rainbow, Birmingham with DJs Adam Shelton, Subb-An and Lopaski. Then Glas present their lost rave island with a complete desert island venue transformation. Amine Edge headlines with support from residents.
The Crown in Lichfield have The Crooked House and one of the leaders of the Bass scene at the helm in Will Bailey. Funk, Disco and Classics are in order at The Swan in Stourbridge for Fakin The Funk.
