Charity night at Robin 2 in aid of Spon
A tribute concert to a local rocker will generate funds for the Compton Hospice and Cancer Research at the Robin 2, in Bilston, tomorrow.
Rock For Spon 2 will feature The New Saints and Friends Steve Marks, Shyne, Junk Monkey and Mutiny.
The gig will be a celebration of the life of Andrew (Spona) Spencer who sadly passed away after a battle with cancer. Spona was the bass player with local Rockers the New Saints, who have graced the Robin stage on many occasion in recent years.
The first Rock For Spon event was held at the Robin last year and raised £5,000.
A spokesman for the Robin said: "This gig is a way of saying thank you to those that cared and looked after Andrew throughout his illness with the proceeds going to Vicky, his wife, for the charity of her choice."
All ticket sales and door takings will go to Compton Hospice and Cancer Research and tickets are available from the venue.
