DJ Stuart Ojelay's Midlands clubbing guide - Feb 3
I must say I seriously enjoyed some local antics last weekend, writes DJ Stuart Ojelay. From reading this column I'm sure many of you know that I've been 'getting around a bit' of late so I have to give a special mention for The Bell in Stourbridge.

This place is a bit of a phenomenon to be honest!
On my travels I seriously haven't seen a local-run establishment fill up so quickly with such fun-loving people. Fair play to them and long may it continue!
The owners treated me to a sneak preview of their latest venture, which is the Prince Albert, en route to Wolverhampton train station.
Already the transformation on the place is unreal with bespoke flooring and touches across the entire build. Where it may well come into its own is the outside terrace space and if the plans come off it will be set apart from anywhere in the Midlands right now. Safe to say this is looking to be a massive shining light for the city.
If you're heading over to Birmingham tonight there's a couple of treats in store.
First up the effervescent DJ Onefour is hosting a cocktail party at The Vaults where party tunes, house, old school R 'n' B, funk and disco will be on the musical menu.
Over at the Cellar Door in Digbeth you'll find Forward where their motto is 'Forward Thinking Parties for Forward Thinking People'
They're looking to break down boundaries and declare that this one is all about the music, vibe and atmosphere. Supplying deep, soulful and tech house will be Serene, Pornogroove, Carrera and Robert Turner.
Providing you with the best in classic and vocal jackin' house at The Swan in Stourbridge tonight is Club Class. Residents in charge are Down n Out and joining them this week are J-dub – aka Josh Williams – and Wonkee P – aka Phil Moore.
Staying in Stourbridge for your Saturday night and there's Chirpse (if you don't know what this means buy yourself an Urban dictionary!) at The Academy.
These guys have hit the promotion trail running and already have a fantastic following and looking to bring in big acts in 2012. For their premier party they have drafted in garage legends DJ Luck & MC Neat with support from Dr Love and De Contrabande.
Moving into Birmingham and there seems to be something for all clubbing tastes. Royalty returns to Chic with special guest Billy Kenny alongside residents Wayne H and Benny Rich. Expect nothing but big electro beats.
Gatecrasher goes Dutch this Saturday night as superstar DJs Hardwell, Sidney Samson and Nicky Romero join them. This trio are seriously smashing it up all over the world with their big room productions and this will be no exception.
Then across five rooms, with 22 live acts and DJs, a huge production and more or less every kind of genre music you can think of is Eclectricity at the HMV Institute. Headliners include Knife Party, Zane Lowe and Miss Dynamite.
One of the breakthrough artists of the last year is Maya Jane Coles. Her productions and deep house sound have captivated the masses all across the globe. She makes a welcome and exclusive appearance at The Rainbow. Residents Elliot Croft and Scott Bleepz will join her.
Another great local gig for me this Saturday night sees me join up with my production partner James Garrett to well and truly awake the sleeping giant Uberra in Wolverhampton for a night of full prestige house music.
