First up Happy New Year,

writes DJ Stuart Ojelay

. I hope you all had a great one!

Not going to lie, mine was a complete whirlwind and it's a bit of a blur how I made it back to Wolverhampton from such amazing experiences in South America!

I had two gigs in Punta Del Este, Uruguay, and at Pacha, Florianopolis, Brazil, both renowned for being rather special – and boy, they didn't disappoint!

Words can't sometimes explain the sights, sounds and atmospheres of such stimulating places, so be sure to check out my Facebook page - www.facebook.com/stuartojelay - for all the pictures and videos.

Going to take a quick look this week of some of places you should keep a look out for in 2012 in local clubbing circles.

In Wolverhampton, the same team that has rocketed The Bell to great success in Stourbridge has acquired the Prince Albert site en route to the train station. With its summer terrace and distinct features launching in March, this one is definitely one to watch.

After overcoming so much adversity, I have to mention Oceana in Wolverhampton as they launch an assault on 2012. They have some amazing drinks offers across all nights including an insane 3-for-1 offer that I'm sure will get the masses flocking.

Look out for the huge One Event at Easter and the forever popular Student Boom Bar Crawls that are always hedonistic.

The Secret Party Project was definitely one of the success stories of 2011 and shows no sign of letting up.

This is one seriously professionally driven brand that already has off shoots of a DJ agency and record label both achieving equal successes. Next up for them is their Valentines Masquerade Madness, which will as per be held in an awesome setting with huge production values.

The city of Birmingham is in for something special in 2012 as the mighty Circo Loco descends on the second city on Saturday, April 7. In a newly designed alfresco space in Digbeth that will cater for around 4,000 people it's safe to say this is perhaps the biggest event in the UK for the first part of the year!

DJs Jamie Jones and Kerri Chandler will headline and have no doubt that they will recreate all the madness and hysteria of their spiritual home DC10 Ibiza.

So guys that's just an insight and of course don't forget to drop me a line for a mention of your venue or clubbing antics via Facebook or twitter by just searching for Stuart Ojelay.

Have a fantastic 2012, see you on the other side!
