A magical Christmas story will be brought to life at The ICC in Birmingham this month. The Snowman runs at the venue from Saturday until December 31.

The stage show features the classic song Walking In The Air, which many will remember from the animated film version of Raymond Briggs' book.

The play tells the story of a young boy whose snowman comes to life on Christmas Eve.

The two set off on an adventure, flying through the night sky. On their travels they meet dancing penguins, reindeer and crowds of the Snowman's friends.

In this stage version, the Snowman will have to escape the clutches of the evil Jack Frost as he soars through the sky.

The Rep's production of The Snowman has thrilled audiences since its premiere in 1993. The show is suitable for children aged three and over.
