Will Young to star in Cannock Chase gig

Will Young was today announced as the second act to perform at Cannock Chase next summer.

The Pop Idol winner will perform on June 30. He will follow rapper Plan B, who will play on June 29 as part of the Forestry Commission-run event.

Young today said: "The forest gigs have a great reputation for their atmosphere so I'm really looking forward to performing my songs in such a unique setting."

Income from ticket sales is spent on improving the forest. Tickets cost £35 and go on sale on Friday at 9am.
