Due to popular demand, a brand new tour has been announced for Mrs Brown's Boys, and it will ride into Birmingham's NIA next September.

Written by and starring Brendan O'Carroll, 'Mrs Brown Rides Again' will follow the success of Sunday's BAFTA award-nomination that the BBC One series received.

Mrs Brown Rides Again will run at Birmingham NIA from September 5-8, 2012. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday 2 December 2011, priced at £19.50, £29.50 and £39.50, plus booking and transaction fees, and are available from www.theticketfactory.com or 0844 338 8000.

The 'Mrs Brown' Trilogy of plays (there are five in total!) sees O'Carroll take on the role as Mrs Agnes Brown. Audiences in the North of England and Scotland first discovered Mrs Brown over ten years ago, when she went on to break box office records.

The current tour 'Good Mourning Mrs Brown' has amassed over 50 shows to rapturous audiences and to rave reviews, with more shows continuing this December through to April 2012.

'Mrs Brown Rides Again' follows on the heels of this tour and will see Agnes Brown and her dysfunctional family romp their way through what seems to be the mammy's last days at home.

After hearing a plot, by her children, to have her put into a home, Agnes decides to prove them wrong by displaying a new lease of life. However, this is not going to be as easy as it seems; along the way she has to deal with a psychiatrist trying to put her in her place, her son's gay partner who wants to give birth, her neighbour's wait for a heart bypass and, worst of all, a family secret that everyone seems to know except her.
