Acclaimed as the hottest young female guitarist on the British blues rock scene, Black Country-born Joanne Shaw Taylor is back at the Robin 2 in Bilston this month.

The Wednesbury-born blues rock guitarist/vocalist will play the Robin 2 on Tuesday, November 22, 2011. Tickets priced £15 are available from the box office on 01902 401211 or at www.therobin.co.uk

Joanne was first discovered as a 16-year-old guitar prodigy by Dave Stewart of the Eurhythmics fame.

Now based in Detroit, where she has become a staple of the American city's blues scene, she was named Female Vocalist Of The Year at the 2010 British Blues Awards and she crowned last year by appearing as special guest for Black Country Communion at their debut live shows at Wolverhampton Civic Hall and in London in December.

Still in her 20s, she also appeared as special guest for Glenn Hughes on his solo tour earlier this year.

Joanne will again be performing songs from her debut album White Sugar and its critically acclaimed follow-up, 2010's Diamonds in the Dirt.

She says: "There's a lot of incredible bands and musicians in Detroit. It's given me new inspiration and been part of the reason for the slightly heavier sound on the Diamonds album."
