Legendary Dutch violinist, conductor and composer, André Rieu will bring his Johan Strauss Orchestra to the LG Arena in December next year.

Billed as "the world's most popular classical artist" André Rieu is renowned for his energetic and festive live concerts, and will be visiting Birmingham on December 18, 2012.

Titled 'An unforgettable evening with André Rieu', the six-date tour will show the maestro conducting his 60-piece Johann Strauss Orchestra and playing his world-famous Stradivarius violin – and fans are positively encouraged to get out of their seats and waltz in the aisles.

Known as the "King of Waltz", André Rieu is one of the best-selling live acts in the world. He has sold more than 30 million albums globally, and has broken all classical concert records, packing stadiums and arenas with more than 700,000 adoring fans each year.
