Lets commence this weeks antics over in Stourbridge, as one of the all time house legends Alistair Whitehead is local once more. He takes to the decks at The Swan for Funk'd and Itch. It's a great chance to get up close and personal with one of the all time greats of the sound in an intimate setting.
The Simma crew head back to their spiritual home Piques at Cannock for their monthly re-launch. DJs include Rue Jay, Colin H, Jay Lowe, Figo and Dave Carrington with the maestro Grandmaster Ash on percussion. They'll be throwing down only the biggest beats and is a dead cert if you're in the 'Nock!
There's so much going on tonight in Birmingham across all genres of music to tickle any ones fancy I'm sure.
Bambu are launching Beyond which promises jackin house and electro basslines are in order from the likes of Burkie, Cause & Effect, Joe Hunt and Dappa D. Plus there's a Live PA from Kaisha Smith and plenty of free giveaways.
Garage lovers know when it comes to the end of the month that can only mean Everybody Loves at the Rainbow Warehouse and this time they've got something rather special lined up as they introduce us to their Superstar series.
Headlining this time is none other than DJ EZ who has been at the top of this genre from its creation. Supporting DJs include Alex Parkin, Brett Maverick and Dr Love.
Sticking within the Rainbow complex and venturing down from the north is Hectik. They assure us a full on experience with two live PAs, dancers and décor transformation. DJs include Ill Phill, Davey Boy, Hannah Wants and Joe Campbell.
For house and soulful music connoisseurs then check out Plus Play at the new Post nightclub. DJs WDPProject and Morais will have the emphasis on just quality beats.
Next up in Wolverhampton for Whatever at Gorgeous Bar are DJs Contrebande headlining with support from Phil Gardner and Chris Steele.
Also, the Cuban Exchange is looking to shake things up at their intimate cool venue. They've put together a brand new cocktail bar where you'll be served by a fully trained mixologist from Italy who's concocted a sublime new menu that surely will delight your taste buds! Look out for some big developments within this bar over the coming weeks.
Moving into Saturday and there's a risqué element creeping into your nights out within the Midlands and it's safe to say I like it! With introduction of many burlesque themed events added to a nightlife soundtrack it's definitely a break from the norm.
Winkuk.com are a group of performers who are hosting a Jazz & Burlesque night at Star City's Casino in Birmingham this Saturday. After the show you can hear the swing house sounds of DJ Tom Ford.
In Wolverhampton at the Newhampton Arts Centre there's more wonton action with the Embraced burlesque crew putting on a Tarantino theme act.
Once more thinking outside the box and if you would like a night of reminiscence then Nostalgia 80's Club Night at The Academy in Stourbridge could well be just for you, catering for the over 25s only with a strict admissions policy to create a relaxed, friendly, party atmosphere.
