, I returned from my gig in Warsaw, Poland, with a huge smile on my face as it was another great experience in a cool city. They sure do love their house music over there!

The less glamorous bits are indirect flights and delays but of course I only try and tell you the positive things!

Looking at things closer to home and Friday nights in Wolverhampton are starting to look livelier and if you're a fan of UK funky and garage then there's Welcome to My House at the Quadrant Lounge with DJs Apostle and Johnny B Line. Admission is also free all night.

Then at Gorgeous Bar you have Lush where Birmingham legend Chad Lewis headlines alongside residents Joe Campbell and Danny Jones.

A new addition to this weekly is Afterlight in the upstairs room where DJs Steve Love, Pierre Reyes and Mike Knowles will be playing the best in deep, progressive and tech.

WildChild is a brand new concept from Davey Boy who has been at the for front of the bassline house music scene around the Midlands for many a year. You can find this fresh brand at the Glasshouse in Stourbridge tonight with DJs Dan Murray, Mark Cresswell, Phunk'D up and Jay Woodzy supporting the main man himself.

They also take over Code Nightclub in Dudley on a weekly basis each and every Saturday with their ethos of big club classics and bassline house.

The Mitre Inn has always been a cracking little pub in the back streets of Tettenhall. It's always great to see when they put events on in this intimate venue as it's really has some great potential.

Join DJs Tom, Lee Perry and Paul Tucker in the back room. Then you'll find DJs Matt Lloyd, Daneby and Dan 'Dragon' Butler in the bar. You're asked kindly to make donations on the door and all proceeds go to the Billy Butterfly fund.

Moving into Birmingham for your Saturday night and there really is some bigness for you here if you head into the second city.

Gatecrasher has always led the way for bringing in big names locally and testament to this is this weekend as they celebrate their 3rd birthday.

They present probably the biggest name in crossover electro in the world at the moment, Afrojack. He's supported by AN21, Max Vangeli, Bobby Burns, Paul Kellie and Kris Shaw in the main room whilst the annoying but ever popular man of urban music Tim Westwood will host the Bed room.

Then there really is a underground musical treat at Air Nightclub as Eclectricity presents A Desolat Experience. Techno maestro Loco Dice performs an extended set while there are live performances by Martin Buttrich and Guti.

There's also an exclusive afterparty at the Rainbow Courtyard from 6am to whenever – only for the hardcore!

Once again I'm on Hed Kandi duty but staying in the UK at least! On Saturday I'm off to Glamorgan University to play at what I'm predicting to be freshers carnage!

Proud to say that the Garrett & Ojelay duo are back again and we've teamed up with sublime vocalist Nicole Tyler to bring you Love You Too Much.

It's a huge vocal disco smash and has been remixed by some big players in the industry including Nino Anthony, Peter Brown & Reza. It's available on all popular download sites including iTunes.
