DJ Stuart Ojelay's club guide - September 2

Phew! Well what a weekend – I think we all definitely made the most of the last Bank Holiday of the year that's for sure, writes DJ Stuart Ojelay.

I have to give a special mention for the Champagne & Cocktail Party at the Crown on the Wergs Road where there was an unreal turnout and quite literally a sea of beautiful and glammed up people.

But there's no rest for the wicked and here's where to head out this weekend – provided you're not all partied out?

No? Didn't think so.

A huge event for Stourbridge tonight is In The House at The Academy. They have two massive headliners from the urban dance scene in DJ EZ and DJ Zinc who are really at the top of their genres of music.

To warm you up for this on the more subtle side, head to Club Class at The Swan where DJs Down & Out will provide you with club classics and vocal funky house all night long in this intimate venue.

In Wolverhampton tonight urban music fans should head to the Quadrant Lounge for Music Mayhem.

With cheap admission and some great drinks promos they'll be getting down to the best in UK funky, bashment and bassline.

For an eclectic mix of music mixed with MC-ing then check out Twisted Funk at the Cellar Door and Rainbow in Digbeth tonight.

Over ten DJs and acts will come together to give you an alternative take on your Friday night.

Sobar in the Arcadian, Birmingham, has had a recent overhaul and refurbishment and once again is always a favourite whether you begin or end your night there.

DJs on rotation for your Saturday include Kris Shaw and Jim Ashley who provide funky vocal classics to keep the masses moving.

I'm back on Hed Kandi duty to this weekend as I fly out to the white Isle of Ibiza to play at Es Paradis on Saturday night.
