VIP tickets for Lichfield Proms in the Park

Music lovers are being offered the chance to secure the best seats in the house at a free outdoor concert next month by buying up VIP tickets. Lichfield Proms in Beacon Park takes place on September 3.

Organisers are offering around 100 concert-goers seats at a VIP table in front of the stage for £10 per person.

Lichfield District Council chairman Councillor Bernard Derrick said: "Whilst this is a free event and everyone is welcome to bring their picnic baskets and blankets, VIP tables are a fantastic way to make the evening extra special for all your family and friends, and from just £40 for a table of four, it is a fantastic price.

"But there are limited seats available."

He added that visitors could also have messages placed on big screens at the venue, also for £10.

"Whether it's a special birthday, an anniversary or exam results, a message on the big screen is a great way to celebrate in style," he said.

This year's proms will feature music from City of Lichfield Concert Band and British Police Symphony Orchestra.

There will also be solos from the soprano singer Joanne Mayling and tenor Mitesh Khatri. The concert will be compered by TV personality and wedding planner Jane Dayus-Hinch.
