The club guide with DJ Stuart Ojelay - June 24

All this talk of kick starting summer may well have jinxed the weather as sunshine so far has been a rarity, writes DJ Stuart Ojelay. But on the positive side there's still plenty of nightlife action and here's my pick of the weekend's action and once again my far-flung travels!

. But on the positive side there's still plenty of nightlife action and here's my pick of the weekend's action and once again my far-flung travels!

As mentioned last week Walsall is looking really lively now on a Friday with the arrival of Simma weekly at Vogue and now Revolution looks like a great night out too. They've two rooms of music with house in the bar area with James Garrett and Becki De Funk on duty tonight and urban grooves in the club. Drinks are also only £2 all night so if you're local this is a dead cert.

In Wolverhampton tonight the Whatever gang are back to host Gorgeous where Jayye Jackin headlines. His productions have caused a storm locally and generate great support wherever he plays.

It's great to see them also showcase some local talent in Shireen Cole who makes her debut appearance with a live PA – I'm sure it's the first of many sublime performances from the Wolverhampton based beauty.

Mechu in Summer Row Birmingham continue to step up their Friday game with the arrival of Boutique tonight. The only way is Essex Star Lauren Pope is on the decks and I'm sure she'll feel at home in this glamorous setting. Be sure to check out the new shisha lounge to sample eastern flavours and there's also some great deals on there decadent cocktails.

Moving into Saturday and the guys behind the Mansion Secret Party Project have assembled DJs from their newly formed Weekend Millionaires DJ roster to no doubt rock the great setting that is the Loft Lounge Penthouse in Birmingham. On deck duty this time are Aneesh Gera, Luke Hayes, Jimmy Kennedy and Kris Shaw.

Then for you to continue your Saturday night into Sunday morning you really are spoilt for choice as we go into the summer of 2011. The longest serving afterparty now into its fifth year is IF at Bushwackers where the plush venue, the new super VIP room and the infamous terrace is still packing them in and is a popular haunt for celebrities and footballers. This week they see house legend Alistair Whitehead headline.

Then you have Rock n Rolla based at the Rainbow Complex in Digbeth. They are now fully outside for the summer and with constant big name guests and a strong team of resident DJs this juggernaut shows no sign of letting up pace.

The new afterparty on the block and launching this Saturday is ClubKids based at The Core, which is brought to you from the super brand GLAS.

They are setting their stall out with a funky vocal disco house soundtrack and I'm sure you can expect nothing but a first class production set up from these guys. DJs for the opening include Steve Young, Will Power, Paul Kellie and House Jackerz.

My big track for the weekend is Chocolate Puma For Your Love 2011. It's got the hot sound going down to key and the moment with a filtered groove and catchy vocal, it will bring you all the way to the dance floor.

So once again I'm off to the far Far East this weekend as I head to South Korea to play at M2 Club. This is renowned as one of the best clubs in the world and I can't wait to experience the cultures and sounds of yet another continent! Of course tales of my travels will be right here next week.

Have a great weekend guys – see you on the other side!
