Beau Monde return to Piques in Cannock tonight where they've appreciated that funds may well be a little thin on ground after the recent bank holidays and wisely treated us to a 50 per cent off special.

With discount on admission and drinks all night and beats from Joe Campbell, Filthstylers and Jack Harris you need to check this one out if you're in the 'Nock!

If you're out in Stourbridge tonight then be sure to head to The Swan on the Hagley Road for Soul Solutions.

Resident DJs Down n Out will be on hand to serve up the finest soulful and jackin' house beats. It's a cracking local venue with a great outside terrace – mix this with free entry before 10pm and it's definitely worth checking out.

Walsall's Friday nights have taken a boost with the arrival of Simma at Vogue and Will Bailey is back from his USA tour to perform alongside Housejackerz, Jay Lowe and Steve Young.

Revolution also has urban flava's with Frontin' and will soon be adding another dimension with house music in the bar area from their summer launch party weekend at the end of the month.

Moving onto Saturday and for some heavy bass action in Wolverhampton check out Drop Events at The Quadrant Lounge where DJs include Breeza and Webster who'll be firing out the drum n bass and dubstep. Stirlings is an intimate venue situated in St Paul's Square, Birmingham, and oozes style and character.

Play is the latest brand to take over the venue and launches this Saturday with the promise of beautiful hosts and a packed out glam crowd. DJs playing upfront house to classics will be Chris Platt, Nathan France, Danny Hancox, Becki de Funk, Ange and Joe Bonas.

For some big room and big DJ action then Gatecrasher on Broad Street, Birmingham is for you.

Headlining is AN21 who is the sibling of Swedish House Mafia's Steve Angello but is by no means in his big brother's shadow with his top class technical DJ ability and productions. In support are Dave Thatcher and Martin Wright.

If you fancy a road trip then the check out Runway at Careys in Coventry, as Chicago house legend Derrick Carter will be on hand to showcase why he's still regarded as one of the world's top DJs.

Once again I'm on my travels this weekend and what a trip it is as I embark on a brief dalliance to Asia for a Hed Kandi tour.

Tonight I shall be in Kuala Lumpur and then tomorrow in Macau, Hong Kong, at a pool party in a hotel that's hailed in the top 10 in the world – it's safe to say I'm rather exciting about this one! As per I shall have all the tales from my endeavours right here next week.

My big track this week is Ray Foxx, Trumpeter. It's already topping the Ibiza buzz charts and trust me this one will carry you through Summer 2011.
