Scissor Sisters launched their UK arena tour in spectacular style last night playing to an enthusiastic crowd in Birmingham.
Opening with Night Work from the new album of the same name, it was as if Jake Shears, Ana Matronic, Del Marquis and Babydaddy had never been away.
They followed this up with Laura, before dedicating She's My Man to Kate Middleton.
The set was a good mix of old and new, with every song getting a rapturous response. Jake Shears and Ana Matronic are a formidable combination and last night they gave it their all with stunning vocals, multiple costume changes and a sexy, manic energy that had the whole crowd dancing.
Highlights included Jake rising out of the crowd on a platform to sing Mary and a charged performance of Filthy/Gorgeous for the end of their set.
