Brit Award and Ivor Novello winner KT Tunstall continued her run of intimate gigs with a sell-out concert at Wolverhampton's Wulfrun Hall.

The 35-year-old singer songwriter has been promoting her latest album Tiger Suit with her first UK tour in more than three years.

She avoided the larger Civic Hall in the city in order to carry on the atmosphere that started with free shows in the Scottish islands.

Armed with her effects pedals and a new band of musicians, including newest recruit Charlotte Hatherley - formerly of Ash - on guitar, her third album also includes bassist Rej Ap Gwynedd, who has played with Apollo 440. KT's husband Luke Bullen plays drums.

The album was recorded in Berlin's famous Hansa studio, where David Bowie's Heroes and U2's Achtung Baby were made.

KT's first album, Eye To The Telescope, was released in 2004 and she went on to be named the best British female solo artist at the Brits. Her song Suddenly I See won her the Ivor Novello Best Song award in 2006.

Writing on her Twitter page KT expressed her delight with the Wolverhampton crowd.

She said: "Yo Wolverhampton, you've only gone and sold the place out. Snogs from us."
