Billy Ocean concert review,

Birmingham Town Hall

His hair may be grey and his face a little more lined, but Billy Ocean has still got it. Grown women reverted back to teenagers when the 1970s soul man took to the stage in Birmingham last night.

There were screams as they reached up on stage to touch his hand, and the long haired lothario played his part well, giving every woman in the front row a kiss as he left the stage.

Dressed in a navy blue suit and with his trademark dreadlocks plaited neatly, he looked every inch the slick operator and his gags between songs were flirty and laden with innuendo. It seemed go down well.

What the concert did show is just how many hit songs this man is responsible for. He played all his classics - from When The Going Gets Tough, Get Out Of My Dreams, Love Really Hurts Without You and Caribbean Queen. Love Train was his popular encore.

The 60-year-old still has all his moves as well. He danced robot-style across the stage and twisted and slid across the floor with style.
