The festival, which runs from June 12-14 is being headlined by Faith No More, Slipknot and Def Leppard.

Fresh off the back of his new album, Scream, US rocker Chris Cornell will make his solo Download debut, although he did play there with ex-band Audioslave in 2003.

Returning for the second time will be Southern groove metallers Down, while US nu-metallers Papa Roach have also been added, coming back for their second Download Festival.

Skin are reforming especially to play Download, back together after a 12-year hiatus, marking their second performance at Donington since playing Monsters of Rock in 1994.

Classic rockers Journey, now with singer Arnel Pineda, will make their Download debut, joined by Tesla.

Also added to the bill are Italian goth-rockers Lacuna Coil, souther-style rockers Black Stone Cherry, Clutch, Architect, Karma To Burn and Parkway Drive.

It has now been confirmed that Faith No More's Download appearance at Donington will be their first live performance since reuniting.

This year's lineup also includes Whitesnake, Mötley Crüe, Korn, Pendulum, The Prodigy, Devildriver, DragonForce, Anvil, Marylin Manson, ZZ Top, Billy Talent, Dream Theater, The Blackout and Buckcherry, with many more still to be announced.
