Hurricane is the tenth studio album by the singer and her first to be released in over nineteen years.

Brian Eno and reggae legends Sly and Robbie were among Jones's collaborators on the album.

Born in Jamaica, she first came to prominence with a string of disco albums in the late 1970s.

In the 1980s, she had hits including Pull Up to the Bumper and Slave to the Rhythm.

She also made a number of film appearances, including a role as a baddie in the 1985 James Bond film A View to a Kill.
