Two weeks gone, and three stone lost by four determined Biggest Loser slimmers
This year's Biggest Loser contestants have continued to shed weight in week two - with the stand-out performer dropping almost a stone in just seven days.
Bus driver Andrew Doyle has raced into the lead losing 13 pounds in the last week, adding to the five pound he lost in week one.
All four Express & Star readers battling it out to shed the most weight in one month had a successful week, bringing the total loss so far to nearly three stone.
The group have been training under the guidance of former army physical training instructor, Chris Jewkes, at his gym in Tettenhall.
Mr Jewkes, said: "Andrew has done fantastically well this week, taking on board everything we have said to him about nutrition in particular.
"It is a common myth that you need to try and starve yourself but you can eat pretty much anything as long as it is the right things at the right time.
"It is really satisfying that all four are listening to the advice, taking on board what we say and beginning to see the rewards."
Mr Doyle, of Lilac Grove, Walsall, has a very important reason for wanting to lose weight and get fit – he and wife Kerry are hoping to become foster carers.
Having started at 28st, the 35-year-old is the heaviest of the group.
Mr Jewkes said he was delighted with the group's progress at the half way mark.
He added: "This is the best team we have had since starting the competition, they are really supporting each other.
"I don't think they are actually too concerned who wins.
"Andrew actually said to me after his great result this week that he felt guilty he had done so well and lost the most weight."
