WATCH: Tweet success for Staffordshire bird show
The largest gathering in the country of feathered friends took place in Stafford on Sunday.
The Staffordshire Spring Bird Show was held at Bingley Hall at Staffordshire County Showground and thousands of breeders and bird enthusiasts attended.
The event ran from 9.30am to 3pm and as well as viewing thousands of birds, visitors and breeders could also browse more than 80 trade stands selling a variety of bird keeping merchandise for both beginners and expert bird keepers. A record-breaking number of private breeders' tables were also on display during the one-day event.
Experienced breeders from across the UK and Europe hosted more than 600 displays of avicultural specimens.
Hundreds of mostly British captive-bred birds were also for sale by breeders. Birds of all shapes, sizes and breeds were available, for those interested in starting breeding, right through to seasoned breeders.
Species available on the day included budgerigars, canaries, foreign and British finches, parakeets, parrots, softbills, seed-eaters and ground dwellers, to name but a few.
A range of more than 30 clubs and societies also attended, including National and Specialist Bird Clubs to provide visitors with expert advice.
Various awards were presented and the prize for the best private breeders table display was awarded to Brian Liddington and his grandson Ryan.
The pair previously scooped the award in 2012 and 2013.
