In fact, one too many mince pies! If you over-indulge this Yuletide, make sure you pick up a copy of our latest issue which has lots of health advice including a feature on new running club Sedgley Striders.

If you're planning to walk down the aisle in 2015 you won't want to miss our weddings special with ideas galore for the big day. There's a competition to win tickets to The National Wedding Show at the NEC and we preview Wolverhampton Magazine's fabulous wedding fair taking place in March, which gets bigger and better every year.

The New Year is always a time of optimism for the future. One person looking forward to what the future holds is proud Wulfrunian Kevin Threlfall, the man dubbed a "pioneer" of the modern convenience store.

The former Wolves director - who last year collapsed on the golf course - built an empire of One Stop shops from a single cigarette kiosk which he sold to Tesco for £530 million pounds. We meet the man himself as he is publishes his remarkable story.

We also chat to the fresh young face of Rotary. Blonde Kelly Davies, 25, is not your stereotypical Rotarian but she has taken on the role of club president and hopes other young people will be encouraged to join the movement which is a force for good.

Other young people making their mark are engineering apprentices at Wolverhampton College. We went along to meet a medal-winning trio who are just the kind of bright young sparks needed to help plug the country's shortfall in skilled engineers.

Pus there's pages of fashion, food and drink, property, travel and motoring. So welcome in the New Year with a copy of Wolverhampton Magazine on sale now.
