The idea of Christmas Jumper Day, is to 'wear a sweater to make a life better' and workers donated money to Save the Children to wear their winter warmers in the office.

The traditionally naff knitwear have enjoyed a revival in recent years, with celebrities such as Myleene Klass and Keith Lemon donning some outrageous patterns.

And Cheryl Cole got into the spirit of the season, posting a selfie on Twitter showing her jumper with its sparkly baubles.

Danny Carter, from Wednesfield, sent in his bright pink pullover as he posed with friends at his football club's Christmas party.

He said: "We?all?had?to?wear?terrible?Christmas?jumpers?and?this?is?the?one?I?found.?There?was?around?35?of?us?and?I?got?voted?the?worst."
