Jobs on the way as Screwfix opens new Black Country store

Almost 20 jobs will be created in the Black Country when a trade retailer opens a new store shop.

Screwfix will employ 17 people when it opens the store in Wednesbury. The branch will open in Globe Street on February 4.

Store Manager Tracey Finney said: "I am confident that we've got a great location here in Wednesbury.

"We have created 17 brand new vacancies and have employed local people from around the Wednesbury area.

"Our new team includes people of all ages and levels of experience, but the most important requirement is that they have the right attitude and can offer superb customer service. Everyone here is really looking forward to the store opening."

The firm nearest store is in Fernside Road in Willenhall.
