College in Cannock Chase Jobs Fair is backing MP

South Staffordshire College is supporting a local MP in a campaign to reduce unemployment in Cannock. Aidan Burley, MP for Cannock Chase, wants bosses to meet potential workers at a special event.

The inaugural Cannock Chase Jobs Fair is being held at South Staffordshire College's Cannock Campus on September 23.

Employers from a wide range of sectors will be attending, including Nat West, HSBC, Finning CAT, the NHS, Staffordshire Police, Job Centre Plus as well as representatives from voluntary sector organisations.

New employers to the area, including Amazon and Tesco, have also committed to working in partnership to support this event.

The college will also be offering workshops covering the dos and don'ts of applying for jobs.
