A Midland horticulture student has secured his dream job at a Royal estate.
Jake Armstrong-Frost, aged 18, of Pelsall, Walsall, has been recruited to work in the grounds of the Sandringham Estate, the Queen's Norfolk retreat.
He is a second year National Diploma student at South Staffordshire College's Rodbaston Campus, Penkridge.
Jake developed a keen interest in historical gardens through his college work placements at some of the country's best known estates, including Shugborough, near Stafford, and Witley Court and Gardens, Worcestershire.
Jake, who is nearing the end of his two-year course, applied to the Historic and Botanic Garden bursary scheme, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and supported by the Royal Horticulture Society (RHS).
