Blockbuster to close by end of year

The movie and games rental chain Blockbuster is to be closed down by the year's end with the loss of 1,200 jobs, it was reported today.

Published Dec 5, 2013

The development will be a blow to the remaining staff, including the store on Wolverhampton's Penn Road.

Blockbuster was snapped up in March by private equity group Gordon Brothers Europe, but was placed in administration last month.
