Angel Springs on the move in Wolverhampton thanks to growth

One of the UK's leading water cooler service providers Angel Springs, which has its headquarters in Wolverhampton, has moved to larger premises in the city and created new jobs after winning a series of new business contracts.

The company was previously based at smaller premises in Spring Road, Ettingshall, from 2000 but has relocated its Midlands operations to a new state-of-the-art 10,000 sq ft building on a 1.2-acre site in Shaw Road, Bushbury.

The move will help Angel Springs' future growth ambitions and enable the business to further increase customer orders.

The new headquarters also gives the business improved commercial facilities from which to run its UK-wide operations and will enable Angel Springs to build further on its ambitious growth plans.

Angel Springs has a growing network of around 35,000 customers across the UK ranging from small businesses to multi-site blue chip organisations, including the BBC and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Over the last three months, the business has consistently increased its customer base by around 1,000 new customers a month, with several new contracts won in the Midlands.

Angel Springs' Wolverhampton operation now employs 80, but it is hoped to further increase the head count in the near future with a particular emphasis on the recruitment of sales, customer service and administration staff.

Last year, Angel Springs completed the acquisition of a 50 per cent stake in the Fillongley Spring Water bottling plant in Warwickshire which is now servicing Angel Springs' depots throughout the wider West and East Midlands region.

Commercial director John Murphy said: "Angel Springs has enjoyed solid growth and progression in recent years and as a result, we were more than ready to relocate to much larger premises.

"We are fully committed to providing a high standard of service to our growing customer base in the wider Midlands region, and having simply grown out of our operation in Ettingshall, we were keen to find suitable premises close to our roots in Wolverhampton.

"The new site at Bushbury is perfect for our existing needs and also provides us with space for further expansion as and when we need it."

Angel Springs, which was formed in 1989, provides both bottled and mains-fed water coolers to businesses and organisations throughout the UK.

It services more than 53,000 water coolers from 10 depots throughout the UK and employs more than 200 staff in total.
