A celebration in Hednesford marked the 20th anniversary of Aura Training – with the company having expanded into prestigious new premises.

The company was founded in July 1992 working out of a small office in Hednesford, and a couple of moves later is now based in Centrix House on Keys Business Village in Hednesford.

Aura originally provided first aid at work training but, over the years, this has been augmented by a range of other health and safety training and consultancy services, but first aid at work still remains the company's core business.

Over the 20-year period the company has provided training services for thousands of employees throughout England and Scotland.

Councillor Bob Todd, chairman of Cannock Chase Council, wished Aura Training every success, with other guests at the reception including MP Aden Burley, Helen Lillis from the Federation of Small Businesses and Ian Kershaw MBE from the Federation of First Aid Training Organisations.

Managing director of Aura Training, Roger Sharp, said: "Good health and safety training does not have to be expensive.

"Since 1992 Aura Training has been providing a variety of health and safety courses at competitive prices. The cornerstone of our success has always been integrity.

"We have a portfolio of bespoke courses aimed at meeting the needs of our customers including dementia awareness training for carers and first aiders. Aura has Health and Safety Executive approval to conduct First Aid at Work training.

"We are accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) for the provision of health and safety and food hygiene training."

To minimise cost and logistics training is usually conducted on a customer's own premises for up to 12 people – while training venues can be arranged at extra cost. The company has a team of experienced trainers geographically placed throughout the country.

Delivery of training by Aura is always conducted in accordance with the company's own quality standards, which ensures consistency of service and delivery.

Aura Training services are conducted in accordance with ISO9001 (2000) Quality Management System.
