West Bromwich-based food group 2 Sisters says it is on course to record bumper profits. Its turnover is expected to reach £3 billion by 2015.
The group, owned by Ranjit and Baljinder Boparan, has acquired a number of other food business including Northern Foods and Harry Ramsden's in recent years.
It saw like-for-like sales rise eight per cent in the 13 weeks to the end of April to £562 million compared to figures for the same quarter last year.
Mr Boparan aid: "We have continued our momentum in the third quarter, with strong sales in chilled and poultry helping us to deliver good like-for-like sales growth."
2 Sisters was started in 1993 specialising in chicken processing.
