CAB Automotive in Tipton makes seats and interior trim for customers including Jaguar Land Rover.

The Sedgley Road East factory has seen its workforce swell to more than 210 in recent months after winning multi-million pound contracts with the biggest names in the car industry.

The number of workers had been cut from 170 to 110 in late 2008 and early 2009. And now bosses have announced growth has created sufficient demand for a night shift. The firm will recruit skilled programme engineers, programme managers and shop floor staff.

Managing director John Faulkner said: "We will be opening a night shift up and looking for about 30 people before the end of the year.

"In the past two years we have seen some bad times but we have bounced back and like many people in the automotive industry we are again feeling quite bullish."

The firm's contracts include seating for the Aston Martin Cygnet and work with luxury car maker Bentley. The company won the JLRQ award for its work with Jaguar Land Rover.
