A delivery company in Kidderminster has closed its doors with the loss of 61 jobs. Yodel, which employed 73 people in the town, shut its depot in the Hoo Farm Industrial Estate yesterday.
The remaining 12 staff have been redeployed to other depots. Bosses had announced the closure in November.
Yodel's chief executive, Jonathan Smith, said: "This is not a decision we have taken lightly. We have to make these changes to meet the needs of our customers.
"We have been running two operational networks since early 2010 with limited flexibility and duplication in some areas. We are now nearing the completion of our move to a single operation."
The delivery service beg-an in 2010 when HDNL and DHL Domestic combined and later became Yodel.
