A beauty expert who hails from Rugeley has secured a £100 million contract in China.

Deborah Mitchell, who owns beauty firm Heaven, has won the deal to supply products and treatments to be sold in China as part of a 10-year distribution deal. She will supply 2,500 Chinese stores and salons, which will include jobs for at least one Heaven-trained therapist from the UK in each store.

Ms Mitchell, who lives in Oaken near Wolverhampton, began work on a £120,000 refurbishment of her Shifnal salon this week to create a new training facility where in total some 3,500 qualified therapists will spend three months learning about Heaven treatments before heading to the Far East.

She opened her first store in Taiwan earlier this year. Heaven already has around 50 outlets in South Africa, 45 in Dubai, and there are plans to move to the US this year.
