CSCM plans to expand at Oldbury
An Oldbury business celebrating its 21st anniversary has plans to expand on its current site.
CSCM (Complete Solutions Clearly Managed) was established by its founding director Jude Thompson and was originally in Halesowen before moving to Stourbridge for a number of years and then being based for five years with longstanding customer West Bromwich Albion Football Club.
In 2011 CSCM moved to its own premises at Swallowfield Courtyard, Wolverhampton Road.
It started as a traditional information technology support company but has grown into a full service managed IT solutions provider with a focus on new technologies.
CSCM works with its clients to provide quality IT solutions using the most up-to-date and trusted technology. It now has customers all over the world including in Dubai, South Africa and the US.
The CSCM technical architects travel abroad on a regular basis and the team has also spent time with local schools and colleges giving advice on a career in the IT sector and now has several apprentices in place.
Managing director Jude Thompson said the CSCM team was expanding and the company was looking at how this can be achieved in the current office space.
"Plans are being drawn up and internal building works will start in the new year," he explained.
CSCM is also looking to expand its team and has a number of positions open at the moment.
As part of the company' long term growth it has just launched a new business brand The Business Hive which offers cloud-hosted solutions through CSCM and other IT providers.
CSCM saw that a number of small IT companies were not offering cloud-based solutions and thought that a community of providers could work together to provide global solutions for businesses.
A number of UK resellers are already on board and the company has also had its first international reseller in Australia join the team. The Business Hive is looking for more resellers of the services and is embarking on a number of marketing campaigns across the country.
To celebrate CSCM's recent milestone birthday and also the launch of The Business Hive and website CSCM held a celebration fish and chip networking event in partnership with local accountants Griffiths and Pegg at Hagley Golf Club, which was attended by more than 50 local business owners.
Black Country running legend 'Blind' Dave Heeley was the guest speaker at the lunchtime event and also received a generous donation for his own charity –The Albion Foundation, from a representative of The Halesowen Rotary Club. As a thank you on the day Mr Thompson agreed to join Dave on his next charity marathon in 2017. CSCM donated all proceeds from day to the QE in Birmingham.
