Future is looking bright for steel firm
A bright future is on the horizon for Midland Bright Steels MBS) following the acquisition of the company's new site at Inverclyde Drive in Wolverhampton.
MBS are one of the largest independent steel stockholders in the industrial heartland of the UK, providing quality steel to customers in industries ranging from automotive and fasteners to locks and petrochemicals. In order to enable the move from its former site in Tipton to the new premises, MBS was supported by HSBC and Dudley-based Hawkins Hatton Corporate Lawyers (HH), a niche corporate practice working with clients throughout the Midlands.
MBS says its growth since starting out in 2000 has been due to sourcing quality products and establishing strategic European partnerships in order to meet the exacting requirements of its customer.
Steve Sutton, managing director of MBS, said: "The move to the new premises at Inverclyde Drive will allow MBS to increase its large composite range of steel in order to make the company unrivalled in the size and diversity of its steel offering."
Colin Rodrigues of HH said: "This transaction was not straightforward given that we had many commercial issues to overcome which can only be done through tenacious negotiation."
Steve George of HSBC added: "Having dealt with MBS for many years it is always a pleasure to see local businesses succeed when they are focused and determined on their business goals."
