Oldbury opening for growing Northgate
Northgate, the UK's largest national light commercial vehicle hire company, has continued its expansion with a new branch at the Portway Trade Park in Oldbury.
The new site has capacity for 40 vehicles and has created 11 new jobs. Northgate now boasts four branches in the Birmingham area, with Oldbury joining existing sites in Birmingham, Kidderminster and Cannock.
Northgate Vehicle Hire's area operations manager, Steve Hanna, said: "The new branch is a reflection of the success of Northgate in the Birmingham area and our growth throughout the UK.
"Opening a site in Oldbury allows us to offer our business customers a faster and even better service, getting vans to clients more quickly and ultimately saving them money.
"More and more companies are recognising the benefits of long-term hire as a real alternative to purchasing or contract hire and so we are seeing increased demand across several sectors and throughout the UK.
"Our priority is ensuring that we can meet our customers' needs and this new branch allows us to serve more businesses around Birmingham than ever before."
The increased vehicle capacity means that Northgate can offer a greater range of vehicles as well as providing easier access, reducing journey times and giving customers quicker access to the vehicles they need.
The 0.7 acre site benefits from excellent transport links, being just a five minute drive from Junction 2 of the M5 on the outskirts of Birmingham, six miles from Birmingham New Street Station and 15 miles from Birmingham International Airport.
The new branch will allow Northgate to provide its customers in the local area with vehicles more quickly, increasing efficiency and reducing costs.
Northgate currently employs 2,000 people in the UK and operates over 55,000 vehicles in the country.
Northgate Vehicle Hire has sites across 77 locations in the UK and Ireland, with its head office in Darlington.
