MP's praise for Sirus Automotive

An ambitious Wednesbury auto engineering company has grown by 40 per cent in just the last six months and aims to double in size in the next two years.

Sirus Automotive is one of the world's leading vehicle and mobility conversion specialists for people with disabilities and has been hailed by a local MP as a 'Black Country business success story'.

West Bromwich West MP Adrian Bailey received a warm welcome from the management, workers and customers of Sirus Automotive, when he recently visited their factory in Wednesbury.

Mr Bailey saw for himself why the company is a leaders in its field by supplying high quality, personally-adapted vehicles enabling mobility for many severely disabled people, either as passengers or drivers from as far as New Zealand.

The Wednesbury firm has grown over 40 per cent in the last six months and now employs over 60 people. Further growth will see the company double its size within the next two years securing employment for many more workers in the region.

Adrian witnessed ongoing new vehicle conversations of which 20 to 25 vehicles are converted and distributed to customers each month.

At the end of the tour, he was then introduced to several customers who offered their extremely positive feedback on Sirus as the company who offer a unique ongoing partnership with the customer including aftercare mobile engineers should they need support from there on.

Mr Bailey said: "This really is a company who provides an invaluable service to the community. I was very impressed with everything I saw during my visit. Not only are these vehicles of the very highest standard but it was clear, talking to customers, that they are extremely satisfied with the vehicles they purchase and also with the aftercare service which follow.

"My sincere thanks go out to everyone concerned for the time and effort they offered me and I wish them every continuing success in the future."

He also spoke to the company about their apprenticeship scheme. Sirus is keen to develop this by offering several young people full training opportunities and the MP aims to work with the company to help develop the scheme further.
