DRP selects EBC to aid expansion
Kidderminster-based communications agency DRP has chosen EBC Group as its IT partner as it aims for further growth.
EBC, based in Halesowen, will provide cloud computing and disaster recovery solutions to the agency, which marks its 35th year in 2015 and now employs 150 people.
DRP IT manager James Hurley said: "As a whole company we have announced our five-year plan and were seeking an IT partner that could work with us and help us grow. We will be investing over £1 million pounds in state-of-the-art IT with EBC Group, which will include cloud hosting and disaster recovery. We see this as a vital investment, which will future-proof our business and mean we can continue to provide our clients with exceptional service. We look forward to working with EBC Group."
Richard Lane, managing director at EBC Group said "We are delighted to have been selected as IT provider to DRP, like ourselves they are a rapidly expanding business and were looking for a partner that could provide a tailored IT service and infrastructure that meets their needs as they grow."
EBC Group, an ICT, print and document management business, celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2014 and has enjoyed one of its most successful years on record. Over the last few years EBC has invested significantly in its IT infrastructure and data centres, which enables it to provide a comprehensive range of managed IT services, including private cloud computing, connectivity, disaster recovery and IT support.
Mike Bridges, divisional head of IT at EBC Group, added: "Our task was to create DRP a new, scalable platform to deliver IT uptime to the business 24/7 with a fully replicated disaster recovery solution sat alongside.
"We provided DRP their own private cloud within one of our datacentres, which is connected directly to us with private 1Gbps fibre circuits. Prior to designing the new IT infrastructure we worked closely with DRP's IT team to fully understand the business requirements, and the outcome is a system that their staff fully understand, whilst also having the security of the technical team at EBC on hand to assist in any management or support they require."
