Engineering firm invests in people and plant
A Stourbridge-based precision tool maker and injection moulding specialist is investing in its future with new people and plant.
In doing so CJ Tool & Moulding, of Mill Race Lane, is increasing both the diversity and volume of work in all areas of its business.
The business has recruited three new staff in key positions to help them make this transition.
Andy Sully, who is the new business development manager, has relocated from Yorkshire to take up the the role and has worked in plastics for 20 years.
He was formerly commercial project leader for one of Europe's largest chemical operations.
Joining him is Caroline Perks who comes in to head up the business and management accountant side of the business.
CJ Tool and Moulding's policy to invest in an apprenticeship programme for young highly motivated individuals, in partnership with the Lean Engineering & Manufacturing Academy, has also just seen engineering apprentice Daniel Mills recruited.
Alongside the investment in people, Made in the Midlands members CJ Tool & Moulding is also increasing it's capital equipment procurement spend with new machinery to support the business's planned growth and replacement of its existing plant.
Managing director Nick Copson explained: "Our philosophy is to support existing and potential clients develop innovative ideas though our concept2component model.
"To do this we have to be at the forefront of technology and production efficiency and our investment plan will drive the business forward."
CJ Tool & Mouldings operate under the control of BSEN ISO9001 approval and registration. They are happy to talk to potential clients who would like to discuss existing, new or specific re-shoring projects.
