London Northwestern Railway has urged passengers to check ahead after a train broke down between Crewe and Stafford stations causing cancellations or delays.
The train group said that while some delays and cancellations may be present on the route, a replacement transport service has been ordered to run between the two affected stations.
The group alerted on X: "Broken down train between Crewe and Stafford.
"Train services along this route may be cancelled or delayed.
"Rail replacement transport has been ordered to run between Crewe and Stafford via Stoke."
