Singing Connie given TV special

Streetly young singing sensation Connie Talbot will star in her own Christmas TV special, it was revealed today.

News of the one-off seasonal show comes just hours before the seven-year-old's interview with the legendary Oprah Winfrey is screened on American TV.

Featuring footage of her recent visits to the US, the Christmas special on ITV1 will also see Connie take to the stage for a series of performances with schoolmates at Blackwood Primary, where a secret concert took place on Saturday.

At the start of an eventful few weeks for the Blackwood Primary School pupil, she will celebrate her eighth birthday this Thursday ahead of the release of her festive album next Monday.

Connie's special will be shown in the days running up to Christmas.
