There's been a very noticeable – and successful – change of emphasis for Wolves since Christmas, with a solid defence Kenny Jackett's clear priority.

But the Wolves boss knows that if his team are to trouble the top six they'll need to be more adventurous going forward.

And he's keen for his side to take more initiative in an attacking sense, particularly in next week's home games against Fulham and Cardiff.

"Since my time here I've placed a great emphasis on what we do with the ball, how we play, and flair and going forward, movement," he said. "But sometimes that can be exposed quite easily and we had a couple of games where exactly that

happened.

"To be a very good side you do need both. Any single one isn't enough. On any one day that can get you a result, but I'm aspiring to be good in both.

"It'll be interesting at West Ham because obviously they're a Premier League team, but that's followed by two home games and we do have to press them higher up the pitch, try to take a bigger chunk out of the game than we have. We're not underestimating anybody but we want to see them as opportunities.

"We've had similar discussions (with the players) about where we go next. Different things are needed at different times, but the important one is where we go next.

"Overall, can we close the gap between ourselves and the top? That's our aspiration.

"But what's important now is where we go next. I appreciate the nine points has maybe made people think a bit differently, but we want to keep progressing and improving."
